Hornbæk Harbour with Sony a7RIV and Samyang 35mm f2.8

Sometimes I run into gear which is not as expected. Both in a negative way, but certainly also in a positive way. I did this when I borrowed a Samyang 35mm f2.8 pancake lens for Sony E-mount. I took it for a walk on Hornbæk Harbour in May and shot some pictures while we walked around.

The lens is very compact. It weighs only 85.6 grams (108 grams including cover). The proximity limit is 35cm and at 35mm full-frame you get 63.1 degree visibility.

In addition to being razor sharp, you also get a lens which is very compact and does not really look “out of anything”. This means that with a Sony mirrorless camera, you don’t look like a “PRO” when you’re carrying it in ex. Copenhagen. I really like that.

Below are a couple of shots with the lens on my Sony a7RIV.
